    Your config.xml is writable

    Hi,
like the vbseo installation tutorial said,
i have changed the config.xml chmod in 644 , but the waring in vbseo AdminCP is showed again, why?
Your config.xml is writable. Don't forget to update permissions after you finish updating the configuration for security purposes
There's a mode to not show this warn?

    Try 444.

If you still see this message after that, contact your host and ask them what is the proper CHMOD value to use to make a file readable, but not writable.

You need to contact your host as your server's setup is non-standard. Only they can tell you what to do at this point.

thanks, i have contacted my host, and they have suggest me to make this changement with cpanel. I has do it and now it's all ok, changement done.

But it is not strange that a software like SmartFTP can't change the chmod from 644 in to 444? From 644 in to 666 or ather is allowed, but why not 644 in to 444? Very strange

Again, that's on your server config/your host.

They may feel its an extra security level. I think it's a big inconvenience for nothing.
