    Yes or No???

When I go to start a new forum, on the bottom, it asks me three questions:

(Require moderator validation before new Pingbacks are displayed)

(Require moderator validation before new Trackbacks are displayed)

(Require moderator validation before new Refbacks are displayed)

Does it matter if I put yes, or no as far as SEO is concerned?

    Please advise.

Set all 3 of them to 'yes'.

I usually leave all those linkbacks moderated.

Could you tell me what those are for and do I need to do anything else when they post something?

when someone else (joesblog.com for example) links to your site, and someone clicks it, it will record as a linkback.

generally, you'll want to leave them all moderated (so only staff can see whos linking in to your threads), or disable the feature entirely.
it's useful for spam attacks from other boards, or if you have a popular topic, to see where it got out too, but in general, having 100's of extra links out to other sites is simply free advertising for them
