Wrong preset loaded?

I just installed vBSEO to my forums today, so far I am very happy with the product!

Anyways, after installation I saw my preset was 003.
I didn't do anything, by default it set it to 003.
I want it to be like v7n forums : Welcome to the V7 Network Forums - Webmaster Forum
Without /forum/

Can I easily change it without having to worry about impacting my forums?
I am worried because this can screw everything else up.
I haven't done anything to it yet.
I think what v7n and dn use are 001 the default preset.

Yes, it looks like they are using 001, but it may have been customized slightly. The initial preset isn't always 001 - its basically whatever your db sees first since there's no order to the list before a setting is actually saved (just a blank array).Y


Yuo should change everything on the first couple days. After that, you should consider it 'final' and stop changing things.

So Brian, I can change it to 001 without having to worry about custom url redirects?
I just want to make sure I am not breaking my forums.
I just had it for less than 12 hours.

There are already some indexed URLs so that you may want to do the change right now. The following Custom Redirects will redirect them to their new location:

'^.+/(\d+)-(\d+).htm$' => 'showthread.php?t=$1&page=$2'
'^.+/(\d+).htm$' => 'showthread.php?t=$1'

Sorry for not being a bit more specific

Put them here: vBSEO CP -> Custom Redirect

Leave them in place for some days while the old URLs disappear from Google indexes.

Hi Andres, I've had those redirects on for a while, should I remove them now?
It's been few months now.

You should leave it forever. Any old links in your own forum, and others, to your content will not redirect if you remove them.
