Wrong Google Indexes

Ok so I have been wondering why my google rankings really suck, so I investigated today and founf that the pages that google caches, are different when you view the threads and such.

Type in site:boardingscene.com

Then click on a thread... it is usually diferent then the one described in google.

Any clue wahts going on. It has to be vbseo related.

Did you use vBulletin's IMPEX utility at any point during any of your site/server moves?

Yes... why?

Because IMPEX doesn't preserve thread ID's, so all your previously indexed threads are now incorrect. You'll have to wait until they are reindexed.

You should Backup and Restore your database instead of importing with IMPEX.

Using Impex always is a bad idea - unless you convert from a different forum than vB, then there is no other choice and all old URLs are gone.

I guess thats why my ranking dropped horribly lately. Any clue how long it will take to get back?

that's entirely up to google i'm afraid.
