    Is it worth the Hassle?

I have owned this product for 3 months and I have yet to get it installed. I have even paid for installation, with on going tickets. Problems with my templates breaking. Links not working. Mod privileges dissapearing, Downloads section not working, I could go on

    >htaccess problems,. Mod rewite problems, now .conf problems what ever they are.

The support is OK, but they just tell me to do this or that, or try this and that. But I must admit its beyond me. If you pay for installation, I would have thought that EVERYTHING that needed to be done to install would be done, rather than tell a thicko like me what to do. If I was clever enough to play with .conf files or even know what they are and why I have more than one of them, I would probably installed it myself.

So my question is this. Is it worth all this hassle?

Yes, though i'm not sure what issues you're having or why, but vbSEO is only responsible for rewritting vBulletin/vbBlog urls natively. Rewritting everything else is additional work.

how you're losing mod privledges is mind boggling, and there could be other issues that prevent vBSEO from being installed properly especially if you're on shared hosting and may not have any control over some settings.

Either way, good luck with vBSEO, its definently worth the effort.

Thanks, we are on a dedicated server, with a pretty simple VB installation only. There may well be other issues that are stopping it working. But what can they be? I have no idea. Everything works without VBSEO installed, when it is installed it doesn't work and things break, what i am i to do?

It was definitely worth it for me. Though I had someone install it for me. I am not very good with the tech stuff. Vbseo is a great product.

You must have some weird server... i've had it on 4 different ones now with 0 issues.

do you have other plugins? have you tried turning all them off, and only running vbseo?
