What link do I give search engines?

I have installed vbSEO and vbSEO sitemap plugin but what link do I give to the search engines?

Your Google Sitemap Index URL: http://forum.xleagues.net/sitemap_index.xml.gz

If I goto my vbSEO sitemap and login I get a series of usefull links and one that says the above: Is that what I give all my search engines?

How do I turn off subscribed threads?

Yes, that is the URL you submit to your Google Webmaster account as your sitemap.

I am getting this error from another search engine:
Error Occurred: We are unable to analyze the URL (http://forum.xleagues.net/sitemap_index.xml.gz) because its content type is "application/x-gzip", which is not currently supported.

What do I need to do here?

All search engines don't support XML sitemaps... I think Yahoo does now.

So what does that mean, have I submitted the wrong link?

I thought I might have to do something in my admincp in order to get it to work properly.

I don't understand why they have created this link http://forum.xleagues.net/sitemap_index.xml.gz

That is to be submitted to Google. You're saying that Google gave you the error you mentioned above?

In Yahoo I am getting this when trying to add that URL to Tahoo! Site Explorer:

We were unable to find any results for the given URL in our index:
    http://forum.xleagues.net/sitemap_index.xml.gz
