Since vBSEO has soo many features i thought it would be fun to have a "What do you love most about vBSEO" thread.

What i love about vBSEO the most is coming to the forums and finding something new to do to vBSEO and seeing the results a just a few weeks.

I love link consensus and the great reviews that it gets!

If you go to my website and take any thread title and pop it into google, my site is listed in the top 10.

You might say big deal, it's just a thread title. Well... Some of my thread titles are specific to certain items. I had a user 2 weeks ago try to get in touch with a boat company for repairs. The company kept giving him the run around and did not want to fix or replace the damaged items on the boat. So the guy posted a thread on my site with the name of the company, waited for a few people to comment, then forward the link to the company. The company still balked thinking that my site wasn't a major player in the business but then I instructed the user to type the company name into google. Would you believe that typing in this manufacturers name, the bad review about this boat company came up SECOND after only 2 weeks of being posted (currently rotates between 2nd and 4th but still)! He then forward that onto the boat company and they immediately called him to tell him they would be sending him a NEW boat, FREE OF CHARGE. He should be getting that new boat today. This boat is priced anywhere between 7000 and 10000 dollars. (you would think the guy would have donated to the site after this).

Unfortunately, I didn't benefit out of any of this. I wound up paying the vbseo bill. I guess I get some self satisfaction seeing that my site is quite relevant in the field it's in.

So now I need to figure out how to make some $$$ through this great product!

Maybe you should start charging the companies a fee to remove the bad review.

Contact the company saying:

Hello - I have a reverse advertising proposal for you. Allow me to explain. You have a bad review listed on my site which is now ranking in the first page of search results for your company name, which is certainly not ideal for your company.

We have a strict policy against removing user reports unless the user informs us the issue has been resolved. In this case, the user has instructed as that you have taken care of the matter to their satisfaction.

As a result, we are now offering you a reverse advertising promotion. Your options are:

a) Replacing the customers review with marketing information about your company. Copy to be provided by you, and given editorial review by my team.

or

b) Remove the post completely so that it will be removed from the search results.

Which option would you like to choose? I would recommend (a) since it's extremely difficult and expensive to achieve a top search position. You can simply take over this spot and convert it into an ad for your company for a tiny fraction of what it would cost for search engine consultants to place you in such a position.

You might want to run the business model by your lawyer before starting.

I love that it's a "set it and forget it" product
I don't have to worry about it not working with future updates of vBulletin.

Rock solid product! I have upgraded my vBulletin since 2007 about 6 times and the same version of vBSEO has run flawlessly with all 6 of them.
