    Website validation

I just went to The W3C Markup Validation Service and checked up my website.

I found 80 errors. Is this something I need to be worried about? I have no clue how to fix these errors. Thanks

vBulletin comes with an xhtml 1.0 transitional doctype. in order to serve pages cross-browser in standards mode, the document needs to validate.

I'm a standards nazi, so i would suggest fixing all the errors on your page. at quick glance, they are all simple (for example, & must be writting as &amp; and <br> must be written as <br />)

Not too sure what you mean by document needs to validate. So I need to do something to validate it?

You need to fix the errors that the validator found, then the page/forum will validate

Think of validation errors as spelling errors on a term paper.

Sure, the paper will still be usable and readable by most, but the proper way is to spell-check it before you hand it in

I think some search engines might not take too kindly to having to navigate pages that are absolutely horrible

Noodles, I don't know what you're talking about? That's his site so the discussion is aimed torwards those specific errors

I was asking which site he was having problems with, so I could take a look and help him fix the errors. That was the site that was in his signature.
