vBulletin 4: Yuck

Is anyone else totally turned off by vBulletin 4? Every implementation of it I've seen is slow and cluttered looking. I just hate it and have no intention of moving my forums to it, despite having sprung for the upgrade some time ago. What a disappointment.

And the theming system! Isn't the point of new software to make things easier to use? That thing is a monstrosity! Egads.

4.1 is supposed to re-do the style vars system, so i'm waiting to see what they come up with in that respect.

vb4 is a big leap, but it was a bit rushed and it shows. In time, it will be better.

I'm still on vb3.8.5, and have been working a new project on IPB. It wasn't what I wanted, but believe that users will prefer it over vb4.

I actually think the damage has been done. I can't imagine how they will fix that horrible styling system they now have in place.

So far I was right. The latest 4.0.4 version implements a style generator that is pathetic.

Yeah, 4.1 is supposed to bring the real stylevar system changeover... has nothing to do witht he 'theme generator' they released in this version.
