vBSEO and a vB 4.1.2 plugin

Hi all,

I've recently upgraded from vB 3.8.7 to vB 4.1.2 and am using vBSEO 3.6.0 RC 2. No problems there.

During the upgrade I had to turn off all of my plugins, and I'm in the process of reinstalling all of them. There is one that is a highly used part of my forum: Customizable Roster

I've used this for years without a problem on 3.x. It worked fine with the vB 3.6.0 version of vBSEO.

But after the upgrade to vB 4.1.2 and the vB 4 version of the plugin, there is a problem: the User Profile links go straight to the forum main page and not to the member's profile page. When I turn off vBSEO this doesn't happen - the user name is linked to his profile page via the non-html file method. For some reason the showroster.php page is not recognizing vBSEO or visa versa.

Now I know I should be asking this at the .org site in the plugin thread, but the developer is on spring break, and I'm hoping someone can point me into the right direction to figure this out.

I noticed that someone had the same problem a year ago here:
Syntax for Custom Rewrite Rules
and he was directed to some scripts I guess to add either to the showroster.php file or to the one of the templates. Any further instructions for a non-codehead person like me would be appreciated.

In essence, I need vBSEO to recognize the showroster.php file and convert the URLs to html. example:
mysite.com/forums/member.php?u=1 to mysite.com/forums/members/administator.html etc.

Perhaps you could merge these threads.

I've looked at the thread bryanb has referenced in his post, but no joy. It also takes you back to a thread started in 2005?? That is a good few years before Vbulletin 4.x came out.
