Vbseo Sitemap and Spiders...

I have setup my vbseo sitemap....

google appears to submit fine...
yahoo: failed ping

I notice I get quite a bit of yahoo spiders, sometimes I
even get a google adsense hit

do i still need to worry about the failed ping?

also...

What is the difference between a google spider and
a google adsense spider??

currently Yahoo is updating their developer API and users with dots or other special characters in Yahoo App ID have automatic pings failed (as reported by our customers).
You can check your ping results by opening this in browser:

http://api.search.yahoo.com/SiteExplorerService/V1/updateNotification?appid=YOUR_YAHOO_ID&url=http://yourforumsroot/urllist.txt.gz

Until this is sorted, you can submit yahoo sitemap manually at:
http://submit.search.yahoo.com/free/

Hi, when I use that URL directly, with my Yahoo ID, everything works fine. http://api.search.yahoo.com/SiteExpl...urllist.txt.gz

I get this response:

<Message>Update notification has successfully submitted.</Message>

But I'm still getting Yahoo ping failed from my sitemap generation.


Google ping: Successful.
Yahoo ping: FAILED.
