You are free to chose who you host with... it has just been our experience that they simply shut off sites without any warning (shared) and they sell old, underperforming hardware as a dedicated machine that wouldn't sell as a laptop in a store today because it is 'out dated'.

I would suggest at least throwing in another gig or 4 of ram.

I definitely appreciate the feedback and will look into this. On a good note, you guys just saved me 50 dollars a month as my package with HG was with 4 gigs ram (not 1 like a previous rep told me). And I had a extra 2 gigs for 50 buck that I didn't need. So thank you for making me inquire this.

But still I would like to know how many vbseo processes on the server is normal at one time. I counted 7 going at once.

Those processes should load and die faster than you can refresh the window. EVERY page hit that isn't an actual file or directory (-f -d in htaccess) goes to vbseo.php.

Try watching whats going on with your server with a TOP command at the consoel/in putty.

then type Shift + M to sort by memory usage or Shift + P to sort by CPU usage

So is it normal for a vbseo process to run at 12 to 15 percent CPU?

the cpu itself is not a constant item, so there's no way to say what percent it should run at.
