    Question vBSEO server overload

So I found out today that my server load is at like a 20 and when I went into my CPU usage for my server I found that vBSEO is hogging the CPU. Any ideas on how to fix this and why it is using so much CPU?...

What is your server specs VS traffic load?

vbseo.php processes everything, so it is common for it to appear to be the issue, but it very well be just time to get better hardware for your traffic.

I don't know much about how to troubleshoot servers but I did kill those processes as a experiment and the site got faster. I'm going to contact host gator to see what they say also.

They will tell you to disable vbseo. I'd advise a new provider....

Thanks for the input. You mentioned that vbseo.php processes everything, is it normal for vbseo to have so many processes at once? How many processes should be running at a time with vbseo?

    do you mean xeon?

    what is 30/40 ?

1gb of ram may simply be too little for your traffic.

pespective: my phone has 1 gb of ram.....

hostgator is just a re-seller of the planet, which has recently been bought out by softlayer.

Onto my question, how many vbseo processes if normal to run at once?

You need more RAM and any host but hostgator.
Running your site from Brian's phone would be an upgrade.

I didn't see any real evidence against hostgator. I don't know, I'm not gonna jump ship and go through all the trouble of switching on a couple peoples opinion. Although it may be a good way to get a better price. I also saw others saying that they have had no issues at all.
