    Recently purchased vbseo for my new forum MBA Guys - Forum for MBA, CAT, GMAT & IIM and as all of you I also had read about the vbseo server load issues and so I followed some of the tips mentioned here and here is what was my observation

    Before vbSEO was installed I had the server load in range from 0.38 to 0.70
    After vbSEO installed the server load are in range from 0.55 to 0.85

    So I think this is very much acceptable and so I think if you can use the settings effectively its not a big hit for your forum. Now I would wait to see how it reflects in traffic.

    These are not specifically related to SEO, although a fast server is helpful.
    On the other hand, would this slightly lower the SEO if entering an ID near every forum/thread/user/etc? Also, do the long threads associated with using the entire forum path and friendly urls effect SEO?

    Should we add an id to group name? Is it possible that group names can repeat and does it also ad an extra sql query if no group id is entered?

    It's amazing how much difference that has made to me! Pages are now loading 4 times faster and server load has been cut down by half!!!!!

    Thanks a lot

    So you just have to directly copy and paste the contents from .htaccess into the httpd.conf file?

    If you are using WHM , you can check the following article [How-to] Move .htaccess rules into httpd.conf from WHM - vBulletin SEO Forums

    Another good thing is put into config_vbseo.php the ID of the forums to be rewritteds
    For example i have hidden forums that dont be crawleables. If i save many rewrites i save cpu cycles too

    PHP Code:
    //Only put crawleables forums here separated by commas

    $vbseo_applyto_forums = array(
        );
    vBSEO Success Story: bmwfaq.com 95% indexed in yahoo, 85% indexed in google and straight up and 10% indexed in bing
