First off, we can start with your sitemap. Unless you have done alot of customer updating, your sitemap is severely our of date. You are running version 1.5, rather than the current 1.7. Chances are, you are not even pinging google with your updated sitemaps with the current version you are running. I would update this ASAP.
in addition - You stats say you have over 1900 threads in your forum, but I only count 869 that are visible. Where is the rest of your content at?
Also remember - the purpose of VBSEO is not to get you increased indexed pages in google. It is to get your pages ranking higher with proper SEO techniques.
I would suggest updating your sitemap as well as your vbseo software.
Yes, grab the latest vBSEO (RC8) and update. RC4 is quite old, and lots of issues have been corrected since then.
Actually - we do expect to get more unique forum pages indexed. With 1-URL-Per-Page (i.e. duplication removal, stopping redundant content crawling), CRUs, and an optimized site hierarchy (in combination with our sitemap), this is definitely achievable with vBSEO.
On top of that, each page indexed should receive a high positioning in the serps for its most relevant terms.
Ok. thank you. Is the sitemap something that needs to be updated frequently? Also, how would I go about updating vbseo. Do I just overwrite old files? Thanks
