You said that once already. I fail to see how it can directly effect search engine rankings. Especially when most of their errors are and or and
On top of that they have already stated that Transitional is on their to do list.
The vbseo skin is still in beta![]()
About this site? No I didn't.
Have you tested your beliefs? How did you come to your conclusion? Not having valid code can effect your ranking per Michael Campbell (author of "Revenge of the Mininet", "Clickin' it Rich" and "Nothing But Net").
It's not a perfect study by any stretch of the imagination but it's better than a gut feeling.

EVERY page on google.com fails validation.
My sites will always fail........
and I don't care![]()
If Google jumped off a cliff would you follow?
Really, I could care less what you guys do. But 99% of this runs off a template. Get that fixed and you're home free. It's not that hard!

No, however common sense says that if the leading search engine in the world doesn't even bother declaring a document type then it can't be high up there on their ranking algorithm.
They know it is not that hard and they have already stated that they will be doing it, like mentioned earlier.
Hey guys what's up? majordude is bringing up a very valid point IMO.
Regardless of whether Google (or any other SE) cares about validation or not, if you can do something better, why not do it??
Analogous to people saying that proper SEO isn't necessary to have a successful forum. Of course it's not the end-all and be-all, but just because your forum is doing well doesn't mean you should neglect other factors!
Thanks for the heads up majordude, this will be fixed - for updated info on the vBSEO skin keep an eye on this thread.
