    vB3.8 to vB4.x questions

I currently run vB 3.8 and vBSEO although my vBSEO licence has expired I think.

I am looking at upgrading to vB4.x

What is the process if I want to upgrade to vB4.x AND the latest version of vBSEO?

Importantly, will all my existing links stay the same?

Do I switch off / uninstall vBSEO prior to running the upgrade to vB4 and then re-install the latest version of vBSEO after renewing my licence?

What I want to end up with, is going from vB3.8 to vB4 whilst keeping all my links the same.

    Hello,

You should disable ALL products, including vbseo before upgrading to vb4. (back up your settings file!)

Then, once on vb4, you should do an install of vbseo 3.6 with importing the vb4 product file, and then of course re-enabling the plugin.
If you do not have access to at least 3.5.2, you should renew your license first as lower versions are either not recommended, contain bugs fixed in later versions, or simply just don't work on vb4.

Your urls won't change as long as you don't change your vb install path. You may need to adjust your homepage due to vb4's cms handling (forum.php instead of index.php)
