| vB SEO performance hit
We just relaunched our site with vB SEO 2.4 and got hit hard with server peaking through the roof. We have 100% CPU load since we launched the site - never seen anything like it. Webserver: Xserve G5 2x2 GHz, 2.5 GB RAM, Apache 1.3.3 and APC Performance cache with 256MB allocated. MySQL: HP Proliant 3.0GHz, 3GB RAM, MySQL 4.1.19 with "dedicated server" settings - huge cache. How much more CPU load is common when switching to vB SEO?       |

Are you using vBSEO 2.4.5 or vBSEO 2.4.0?

2.4.0. Is 2.4.5 released and what improvements has been made? Can I upgrade as easily (quickly) as the installation was? |

Open a support ticket and you can upgrade to the 2.4.5 pre-release. It's an easy upgrade, and should have some performance improvements. Note: 3.0.0 is due out within the next few days.

Current pre-release vBSEO2.4.5 is already stable enough to use

Thanks! I got the 2.4.5 update and will install this tomorrow morning when server load is lower. I am very impressed with how fast I got answers from you. We will buy more licenses soon if my problems disappear! Thanks |
