It could be many things, ranging from 'time to upgrade' to tweaking some settings.

For hardware I have two dedicated dual xeon servers with 2 gig ram each.

My host is telling me that its all due to the .htaccess. Does this mean that I have to choose between an overloaded server and search engine friendly thread titles? Wouldn't having normal thread titles defeat the entire purpose of VB SEO?

    Hello Danny ,

Do you use any php accelerator like xcache ?
Did you also move .htaccess rules to httpd.conf ?

Weird. While I have 1/4 the threads/posts that you do, I have a similar member count and member online count.
I'm running perfectly fine (.6 load) on a single server: dual quadcore 2.0ghz colverton xenon with 2gb of ram.

do you have any stupid long threads? like 10,000 reply threads? I know those cause massive issues due to the paging functions.

I'm not sure. I will check with my admin.

I do have some very long threads yes. Oh and here are the correct server stats:

Server hardware is dual xeon with 4GB RAM and 147GB SCSI HDD in raid 1.

No problem. Here is my link

I have to say the support here is outstanding. I think the most likely problem is this httpconfig thing and overnight my server admin will try to make some changes.

    Hello Danny ,

Please ask your server admin to upgrade apache 2.2.6 with mod_deflate support on instead of mod_gzip and ask him to use the following settings

    Code:
    KeepAlive On
    MaxKeepAliveRequests 1000
    KeepAliveTimeout 2
    MinSpareServers 10
    MaxSpareServers 15
    StartServers 10
    MaxClients 180
    MaxRequestsPerChild 1000
Also ask him to install xCache 1.2.2 as php accelerator

    These

I just moved a thread with 192,131 replies to my archive forum(not viewable to members). Think this thread has been causing me server issues?
