vB addition to existing website with vBSEO

    Hi,
I have an existing website with 2000 indexed pages after about 6 months. (non forum)
Had webmaster remove crap forum that he had built and replace with vB forum. Of course he did not use robots.txt file to keep Google out until we had forum up and populated, so google indexed and archived "VB FORUM"

    Added vBSEO to forum 10-6-08

Great looking urls, but old urls still in system. We have our own stand alone sitemap generator in addition to the vbseo generator.
Our old sitemap generator will not recognize our forum and add urls to the existing non-vbseo sitemap.

I listed our vbseo sitemap with webmaster tools and it shows over 300 pages but none are indexed. When I look online I can find 5 or 6 indexed pretty url pages

    Questions,

Should our old sitemap generator list our pretty urls from vbseo, or is it blocked out by vbseo?

Should I leave the 301 redirect option in vbseo "on" to show old forum urls in sitemap?

Is forums/sitemap_index.xml.gz the correct url for google or should it be forums/sitemap_1.xml.gz

I read the "Ultimate Guide to vBSEO" and it helped a lot, but was uncertain on a few of these options and I wanted to get it right before we made a real push on the forums.

    Thanks,
    Dave

How long has it been since you've switched to vBSEO and "pretty urls".

If 5-6 are starting to show up, that means Google is just getting ready to blast all your pretty URLs into their index.

If you've got the robots.txt file set correctly, and started to get back links to your new URL's and site it should only be a little longer before all your site is indexed in Google.
