Using acronym expansion with tags

Hi, my question is very simple and may also be a suggestion for future releases.

Can acronyms be automatically linked to tags list? For example if a forum has abc and def words as tags and I want these (and further tags of course) words to be linked to tags list whenever they're used in posts.

I think it should be possible because I've seen it in another forum.

You can use acronym's for auto link. In order to do so you need to you need to choose the following option within Acroynm Settings : REPLACE acronyms as expanded text

You can add replacements such as

Thanks Mert, but is there a way to automatically replace words with tags? For example if "pink floyd" is in your tags list, can it directly go to your tags list instead of topic when clicked?

Note: Automatically of course, for your whole tags list.

This surely can be done with an additional plugin however vBSEO doesn't have a feature like this.

This works perfectly! I just implemented it on my site. Thanks, Mert! Just one question: Is there a way for the linked URL to open in a new web browser window? Where would I add the target="_blank"?

I love this feature, and I would like to take it one step further. But I'm not sure if this is possible. I would like to be able to exclude my various acronyms each from certain threads and forums.

On my forum I have various product reviews. If the product is for example "Widgets", I would like to set the word "Widgets" as my acronym, and link the word to the "Widgets" review page. However, I would not want the word "Widget" to become a link within the review thread, as the link would be linking to the same review page people are already reading. I would only be interested in the word "Widgets" to become a link in other threads of my site. I actually would like to exclude the word "Widgets" from becoming a link throughout my whole "Widgets" sub-forum, and I would only be interested in the acronym "Widgets" becoming a link anywhere else on my forums.

Is this at all possible?

... or, to simplify my above request, could I add a list of thread IDs to exclude to config_vbseo.php somehow? Would that be possible?

Unfortunately vBSEO doesn't have an option like that Marvin. However please feel free to submit this as a new feature request within vBSEO Plugin Feature Suggestions
