URL Rewrite for Member's Profile

I'm having a weird problem with the member's profile URL. I have it like vBSEO currently have. But it has some negative side. Like in vBSEO Oleg Ignatiuk's profile URL is

http://www.vbseo.com/members/oleg-ignatiuk/

Now if a member registers with the name Oleg_Ignatiuk. Then his profile URL will be

http://www.vbseo.com/members/oleg_ignatiuk/

But the problem arrise if someone register with the name Oleg-Ignatiuk! Then Oleg-Ignatiuk's profile will be

http://www.vbseo.com/members/oleg-ignatiuk/

Which will clash with Oleg Ignatiuk's profile URL. Now is there any way we can make the Oleg Ignatiuk's profile URL like

http://www.vbseo.com/members/oleg%20ignatiuk/

?
I know there is a way to add User ID in member's profile URL rewrite format. But I prefer it as it is. Because it looks smart.

So there is no other way than changing the current URL rewrite format? Can we have a better solution in future release?

Did you enable the option mentioned in the linked post?

Yep I have changed the VBSEO_REWRITE_MEMBER_MORECHARS's value to 1. But same result.

The only 100% way to avoid any username conflicts is to add user_id to member profile URL format.
