Upgrading Zend Help

I noticed the thread advising us to upgrade to the latest Zend so we can use the upcoming VBSEo 2.4.5 release.

Has anyone encountered any problems upgrading Zend?

I haven't done it yet, just want to make sure that the instructions on "How to Upgrade the Zend Optimizer" you posted here work:

vBSEO v2.4.5 Is Near! Be Prepared!

Do we overwrite the old Zend files or remove them first?
Will the current VBSEo 2.4.0 work okay with the new Zend?
Do I have to uninstall vBSEo or do anything to it prior to installing the new Zend?

Well i had my server administrator perform the upgrade for me. But in answer to your last question i was never requested to disable/uninstall my instance of vBSEO during the Zend upgrade.
