Upgrading vBulletin with vBSEO 2.4 Installed

I am at vBulletin 3.5.3 and have had vBSEO 2.4 installed since around the time I installed vBulletin. Having run that long, the friendly urls are all over the place in the forums and externally. I now want to upgrade things... would like to get current on everything, but the first priority would be to cleanly get to 3.6.x latest vBulletin, and that after that's settled look at upgrading vBSEO. Is there anythind special I need to worry about in this process, or any other steps I need to take? It would really be disruptive if vBSEO had to be taken out for any reason since it would create a ton of broken links all over the place. Thanks for your help.

    Hello,

you should be safe to upgrade vBulletin to 3.6.x, the only vBSEO-related issue that may arise is this one. It's suggested to update vBSEO to v3.0.0 Gold as soon as possible.

So would it be advisable to upgrade vBSEO first then? I guess I really don't care which I do first but if vBSEO fails in the process it could be catastrophic to the forum... maybe even worse than the forum being totally down since it would be running with a ton of messed up urls. If the latest vBSEO will make the upgrade of vB less risky, then I'd be happy to take that approach. Thanks.

Yes, perhaps upgrading vBSEO first would be better in your case.

Thanks, I'll work on that right away. Its is a tangled path we weave sometimes... I've got a couple of add-on scripts... some want to be upgraded first, some want to be upgraded last...
