    Upgrade from vBSEO 3.3.2 to 3.5.1 Pl1

I'm sorry -- I know this must have been asked at least a dozen times before but are there any special considerations to keep in mind when updating vbseo from 3.3.2 to 3.5.1 PL1?

If you use slugs, a manual re-enter is necessary to accomadate for their move from file only to the CP interface. Otherwise, its a typical upgrade like any other version.

The upgrade is very simple like any other versions, But as Brian said if you use slugs you should add them manually again in vBSEOCP, You can follow readme.html instructions for upgrading and if you facing any problem, Don't hesitate to ask us

On the upgrade instructions it says to uninstall vbseo. Is this the full uninstall or the other one where you keep certain files.
In admincp, plug ins and products, uninstall vbseo. You have two options of the uninstall.
I was going to post the same question myself today and wondered about that part.

Is it advisable to turn the forums off while you do it to save having the search engines index any wrong urls

And do you have to kill the sitemap and re run it after, for any alterations to the urls?

    Hi,

when you uninstall vbseo itself and you want to upgrade, you really should keep the database entries. You are asked whether you want to keep them, when you click on "Uninstall". Otherwise you will loose things which are saved in the database, f.e. the linkbacks.

I don't think you will need that much time to upgrade vbseo. I never close my forums during the update. And actually, when you close you forums, search engines will get the "Closed" message, too, what isn't very good either.

You only have to run sitemap an other time, when you do some changes in the sitemap settings or you change some urls in your vbseocp.

If you upgrade vBulletin to 4.x, make sure you are running a 2.6 version of the sitemap generator.
