    Upgrade from 3.2.0 to 3.6 - file structure different? Very messy process

    Hi,

    I'm in the process of upgrading vbseo from version 3.2.0 to 3.6.0 but before I go any further I've noticed that the 'upload' folder of v3.6.0 has a new 'vbseo' folder which then contains the folder 'includes' with various files prefixed functions_vbseo. In my existing version (3.2.0) all these files are contained in the general 'includes' folder for my vB forum i.e. vB-root/includes & not vB-root/vseo/includes. If I upload the new folder I will end up with duplicates of several files.

    In the 'troubleshooting' doc there is a comment:

    "2) Broken Links

    Ensure you have a SINGLE copy of the vBSEO files in the following folders:
    .htaccess -> vB-root/.htaccess
    vbseo.php -> vB-root/vbseo.php
    functions_vbseo.php -> vB-root/vbseo/includes/functions_vbseo.php
    config.xml -> vB-root/vbseo/resources/xml/config.xml

    Duplicate copies of 'functions_vbseo.php' in folders other than '/vbseo/includes' are known to cause this issue."

    but I think I may end up with several more duplicates. Have I got to go through every folder trying to identify ALL the duplicates?

    Currently I have vbseo 'disabled' in the VB Products section as I've just upgraded VB to 3.8.7 as well. Would it be better to 'Unistall' it first as I have backed-up the vbseo settings?

    Thanks. It's a shame that wasn't included in the Upgrade instructions with the download. I'll tidy those up tomorrow & do the upgrade.
