Just a note for those who are testing vbSEO 3.0, but haven't released it yet.

You should turn off pinging if you are creating posts.

In the Ping/Trackbacks section, there is an option "Update Services" that will ping external interfaces on thread and post creation.

I've been copying/pasting threads from other messageboards so I can see how things will look. During this time I don't want to encourage visits at all, or even inbound links because the threads will all be deleted before the system goes live.

Luckily, my message boards are turned off right now, so nobody can access the threads, but just to be safe, I cleared out the fields under the "Update Services" option.

On a side note, I would like to use this feature potentially for new threads, but pinging on each post is a little much in my mind. I suggest for future versions the ability to manage this feature a little bit more extensively.
