OK, I know, it's an Alpha version, however the final release will come soon and the earlier problems can be solved the bettter I think. Did you guys start to test with the vB 4.1.10 Alpha versions?
I just got back from holidays so I started to play around with my main test forum. During holidays I updated to Alpha 1 and when it was available to Alpha 2 (tonight I will update to Alpha 3). I ran into something, thought it could be the local connection where I was on holidays or something like this but it remained: after the update and whenever I start to work on templates or in the ACP or anything else it takes a few minutes until I get "No input file specified." or 404's. On various browsers. Everything acts and looks pretty normal (despite a heavy style issue of my navbar), but then, bam, this weird message. Before the update the test forum was running on 4.1.9, of course with a vBSEO test license. NO problems or issues.
I disabled all plugins via config.php, I temporarily renamed the htaccess, I disabled APC. It's always the same thing, a few minutes it works fine and then "No input file specified". After some time it "recovers" and you can work on for another few minutes.
After talking to the guys from vB and some tests I now know it's the vBSEO htaccess that is causing this. Which means something in vB 4.1.10 has been changed that doesn't work with the current vBSEO htaccess!! Hopefully the general compatibility will not be affected!
I run another test forum for another vB license I hold without vBSEO. NO problems with the Alpha versions.
So what can we do? Will you take a look at this? I would love to be able to use my testing environment including vBSEO test version. I need to rebuild my skin and would like to start as soon as possible. And I am sure you want to make sure that everything of vBSEO is 100% compatible and functional with vB 4.1.10 asap, right?
Thanks for any help!
