Do I add the URL of that article in the Trackback box that is under the message window?
Is this the function of the trackback feature?

You have to be sure that you are permitted to copy content from another site. Be sure the blog you are taking your material from (in full) allows this by contacting them.
The trackback field allows you to reference and send a ping to any site that you've used resources from, but do NOT wish to include a link visible to guests within the content itself.
If you include the link in the content, it will pingback automatically without you having to enter any extra information in the trackback field, etc.
