Exclamation Tons of 404 errors; forums unviewable.

Before you assume anything at all. I've been running 3.5.0 since I installed it on my site.

Now, I've gotten a lot of 404's for quite some time, so I chose this time to upgrade the vbSEO program to the latest version.

So, I upload it all, I forgot the installation process. And uninstalled the program; I asked to keep old vbseo in database. But... after I completed the upgrade - all of my boards url's are STILL using 404's!

    Now I am puzzled.

You never have to un-install vbseo to upgrade. There is a readme.html file in all downloads. RTM!

Do you have a backup vbseo_all.xml file to import?

If not, you're going to have to do your best to remember your settings and put them back.

Also, check that your htaccess file is in place.

Well, I do have .htaccess in there...

I tried overwriting it once before, it didn't work, but after upgrade, it didn't work. After I verified the code in ACP....I overwrite it, and it works? o_O

Yes, saving your new password and key are required steps in the install/upgrade process. Again, make sure you have the readme file handy for full instructions.

I knew that, but don'tcha think it would have worked BEFORE the upgrade? I scratch my head there.
