    Threads aren't indexed properly

    Hi,
one month ago I installed a new forum with vbseo.
Since then 141 threads were wrote and several tags and member profiles were added.
Watching the search results for this forum I experienced some problems with indexing the threads. Only 17 threads out of 141 are indexed by now and the newest indexed thread is more then one week old, although new threads are added daily. However tags, forumdisplay and calendar are indexed very well. A moment ago a new tag were added to google which I created just a few hours ago.

I've checked google webmaster tools for errors and hints but nothing. I've also double checked the showthread function and logs. The threads are crawled by googlebot with 200 OK.

The same with yahoo: Only tags and forumdisplay appears in search results.

I'm dead angry about this situation. Since the beginning no single visitor were referred by any SE.
Does anyone had similar problems like mine in the past and how do you solved it?

    Any help will be appreciated!

    Hello,

SEO doesn't happen overnight. You have a new site with limited content. It will take time to get into the indexes and actually place for results. 4-8 weeks is average for it to START.

You are getting some urls indexed already which is a good sign and the others will come in time. Just be patient.

    Thanks for your quick reply.
I know it need some time for seo to be working well.
The only thing I'm angry with is the priority of the different sites on my forum. Is it normal that google loves sites with limited content like tags or empty calendar more than threads with lot of content?
    I can't believe it

It actually is fairly normal. members pages seem to always index first. Perhaps they are 'easier' for google to rank, where as threads are more difficult.

Thanks Brian, this is obvious to me.
Just for the sake of completeness: I haven't used any of the predefined settings for thread url's, but used my own setup. Maybe this is the reason. I hope I haven't misconfigured something.

It's perfectly fine to customize the urls. So long as they all work and there are no conflicts, the actual url matters little.

You should upgrade to Gold though. RC2 is outdated and not supported.

Just want to bring this thread up to inform you that the problem still exists.

The Forum is up for 100 days now. GWT shows 714 indexed URLs. Sitemap reports shows an activity of about 100 bot visits each day. Very few offsite SEO has been done.

Result: Zero SE traffic till now, neither google nor yahoo or msn.

A WP blog (same topic) with seo plugin installed at the same time on a different domain gets good traffic every day.

Any hints on this? Maybe domain blacklisted?
