Question Thoughts of Sitemap/Archive Links on Pages?

Hello.

I am wondering your thoughts of sitemap/archive links on pages..

I was wondering if this feature should only be enabled for guests or what? I only want the links to display to bots/spiders really...no need to show to guests. Currently I have it set to display to everyone, because I don't want to risk it not showing to bots for some reason..

If I show it to guests only etc, will it 100% show it to bots? I don't want any to be excluded.

What's your thought on having it enabled for members as well? What's the benefits etc, the point?

i suggest turning the archive off altogether, thus, no links either.

Why? Isn't the "1 2 3 4.." links at the bottom better for search engines? I always see that crap on big forums...I'm just following through, as it's a vBSEO feature.

..or are you misunderstanding my original post? It's not the archive but like a sitemap that vBSEO generates in place of vB's archive system..

scroll down see 'em?

it was a 'neat' feature that was implemented in one of the earliest releases of vbseo. Since then (nearly 2 years!) google has changed, vbseo has gotten WAY better, and it's just an old feature left in for those who wish to use it sake.

You want google to index your MAIN site, not your archive. why make it fight amongst your site to rank 1 page over the other? just give it one page to rank up high. see also: Why the vBulletin archive is useless and counterproductive

But the way vBSEO has it set is that there are no duplicate content...
How would it hurt?
