I've wondered about this too,, or if someone else was developing a SEO tool for IPB that works as well as vbseo.

Porting a product like vBSEO to another forum would be a very complex task since each forum has its own unique characteristics and idiosyncrasies.

    It's certainly a possibility.

    Thumbs up

I would LOVE to see it. There are a couple of free mods for Invision, but they are total crap. I think there's a large untapped market for it.

I have one site with a couple hundred thousand posts that I may consider converting to vB, but I've read so many horror stories that I'd rather not. Another forum has close to a million posts and over a hundred thousand members. I don't see myself ever converting that one.

If you need any beta testers, let me know.

Yes, I know, I have dredged up an old thread.

I'm curious if this is still being considered. IPB 3 is suddenly looking like a serious player and there are several admins using vBSEO that are looking at making the change. Some have already made the move. Personally, I'm reluctant to lose everything vBSEO has to offer and have been dragging my feet a bit.

Is there any hope Crawlability might be looking to offer a script for IPB?

Wow, I can't beleive I still got a tpoic notification reply for this thread. I'm far less enthusiastic about IPB 3.0. Especially for large sites. However, I think they've done a horrible job with SEO, and I think it's still a great opportunity.

    Hello Mike ,

We currently don't have any plans making a SEO addon for IPB. However i'll bring the subject within a staff meeting for further discussion.

I definitely would be interested in seeing the vBSEO product extend to a IP.Board-compatible version. Many people can't live without vBSEO and it holds some back from switching to IPB.

But it's not by Crawlability. We want their product since vBSEO is so good; not something made by somebody else.

I am definitely one of the many people not wanting to switch over to IPB only because there is no vBSEO equivalent
