Tags and Technorati Style Blog Indexing Sites

So I'm not sure if this is a vBSEO thing or not.

With the old vB (before 3.7) when Technorati and other blog indexing sites picked up a new post they showed the post and then they list it's tags, thus providing a link from the technorati post page and any technorati tag pages it is tagged with. Commonly the tags added to a post are the forum it is posted in, so long, unpopular tags.

With the new vB which has proper tags it is now possible to tag individual posts with single words, thus getting a link from the more popular tag pages on these big blog indexing sites. The links don't have much weight but they really help getting new content picked up fast.

For some reason these sites do not pick up the individual tags and still take the forum name as the one and only tag. Sure tags help inter site crawling, but they do have other uses. Wordpress works like the latter and vB should too.

so I can't comment!

I see the staff round here haven't changed.

Both vBulletin and vBSEO donot send tags to Technorati and they never did in old days also Dave.
