is support just not with it?

here is the response after 2 days of dumb questions that were stated in a ticket...

I've corrected the issue and it works now:
    http://www.slkworld.com/general-disc...rs-slk350.html

strange thing is I still have red x where albums and images should be.

My question is how can this be considered fixed. was 100% stable with 3.1 so what gives and whats with the poor support after so many delays with the release did it not get tested with IIS????

    what are you album settings?
(database or file system? direct thumbs or not?)

what are you re-write rules for the albums?

    file system.

have tried the orginal 3.1 isapi_rewrite rules that had no issue with albums and both files provided by vbseo. it looks like when support reinstalled they left the rules the same as 3,1

try adding these to the htaccess file.

i used /useralbums as my storage directory. you will have to change to match yours.

    find:
    Code:
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !^(admincp|modcp|clientscript|cpstyles|images)/
    replace with:

    Code:
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !^(admincp|modcp|clientscript|cpstyles|images|useralbums)/

    and

    find

    Code:
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(admincp/|modcp/|cron)
    replace with

    Code:
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(admincp/|modcp/|cron|useralbums/)

vBSEO works fine with IIS. It's all about the rewrite rules. Unfortunately they sometimes have to be tweaked on some sites, depending on the server setup.

William - in the vast majority of cases, installation is completed without issue. The vBSEO Total Support Team will, however, ensure that you get up and running successfully.
