Hey,
I've just started adding sponsorships to my forums, so had to rename them "forum name sponsored by company". I was wondering if I could strip out sponsored by company from the url so the url stays the same as it was before hand?
Thanks

Hello,
yes, you could either:
1. add "sponsored by" message to forum description rather than title
2. or to avoid including [forum_title] in URL formats so that URLs are not changing when subforum title is modified.

I added the words to the stop word list, not an ideal solution, but it works.
The solutions you provided don't really work for me, I'd like to have the forum_title in the url and the sponsor wants maximum exposure by having their name as part of the forum title.
How come stop words doesn't work for more than one word per line? I.e. I added "sponsored by company" on a line and it didn't work.
Yes, not a flawless solution, but good enough if you need to keep this in the forum title.
You should use your defined spacer character (-) instead of space in stopword list, like:
sponsored-by-company
(add this to the top of list).
