still no traffic

I have had vbseo for over 3 months,at first I did not know how to optimize it,everything was set to default,I did nothing all I did was submit my sitemap to google and yahoo,after about a week still no change however my page rank was boosted just a little bit,then a week later I descided to change my settings in vbseo,I found a some presets, forum global forum formats,so I descided to try it out,about a week later, my rank went up and down then it went down,way down,so I descided to to see what was wrong I checked the search bot logs, and saw that each day less and less google and yahoo,as well as other bots where indexing my site less and less,so I logged into my google account,accessed my google webmaster tools,and viewed crawling information,apearently not only did I find over 1024 not found urls,I found 38,crawl erros in my site map,I was also being ranked for low search terms that had nothing to do with the keywords I was trying to rank high in,so I descided to recreate the sitemap,and restrict the bots from accessing forums that do not have quality content,about a week later, In my traffic rank went crazy,it went up,then it went down,then it went up,then down,and then finnally it went lower, when I checked my site,I got less crawl errors but more not found urls,and my site was still being ranked for low search terms,that had nothing to do with my site,so I descided to upgrade my vbseo as well as my vbulletin board, when I upgraded my vbulletin board, over 59 templates were out of date,I have no idea if this interferes with traffic,also, I descided to optimize vbseo through the optimization tips, which was just yesterday.

Your main problem is you have only a little content on your site. vBSEO cannot do magic. You must add quality content on your site. You have 397 threads on your site and 222 of them are created by RSS bot. You must continue to add content on your site.

I had a feeling you were going to say that,but here is the problem,quality content comes from members.But no one is ever active enough,me and the rss feed robot are the only ones posting like crazy,basicly what I am trying to say is for me getting more content will take a very very very very long time.

Here is a simple way to build up a bunch of new content:

• Identify 4-5 similar forums to you.
• Go there and find some of the most active threads. What are they about?
• Then write mini-posts on your site (1 or 2 quick paragraphs) briefly discussing the active topic. Then ask a question, or make a bold assertion about the topic.
• People will either respond to the question; or agree with or rebuke your statement.
• You'll know the topics have the ability to generate discussion because they have elsewhere.
• You're not copying or stealing the thread content. You are taking the idea, and starting your own unique discussion about it.

You should find that you can easily turn out many posts with this method. And if you have 1 or moderators available, they can too.

When people do respond to the topics, make sure you keep it going with them in a natural way. That is... really get involved in the topic. Really exchange information and provide your true opinion, etc.
