    Hi guys,

    Your reg keys are automatically retrieved from our registration database when you first install. This occurs 1 time only for each version of vBSEO you install/upgrade.

    ConqSoft was in a unique situation. We discovered when he first installed that his forum was repeatedly attempting to retrieve his reg key from our database. This was due to an error we discovered in the past, i.e. one of our test forums was retrieving the registration key successfully, but was not storing it.

    In the extremely *rare* event that a forum cannot save the reg key in their vB datastore, we added a license code setting within config_vbseo.php. By manually adding the reg key in config, forums with the data storage problem will override the automated registration key process.

    PHP Code:
    // ****** VBSEO LICENSE VALIDATION CODE ******
    define('VBSEO_LICENSE_CODE''');
    Conqsoft was provided with his 2.1 license key to edit the manual setting. The problem occurred during his upgrade to 2.1.1. Since our server was down, there was no approval nor denial of his registration key.

    This was our mistake. We should have provided Conqsoft with his 2.1.1 registration key before he upgraded.

    For everyone else the automated process is fine. There is no reason to be concerned.

    FYI The new members area will display your registration keys for each of your vBSEO licenses. Entering the license key via your config_vbseo.php file is a completely optional step.
