    Server generates "core.xxxxxx" files

    Hello,

I run several websites that use vBSEO however one in particular always had "high CPU problems". The host even disabled it for some days.

I tried to identify the problem with no help.

Basically I get a lot of core.16918 files. Usualy the name is "core" and the extension is a random number. The file sizes is between 7mb and 30mb.

I know servers generate those files when something is failing.

I opened several files and there is a lot of gibberish hoever I managed to find this in almost every file I looked:

    Code:
                           ÷' Å2 À* À* ª€ } \$ ¦ ,Îئ03h$Îئxás²€òØL{ { 3 ÿÿÿÿaJ*s ! 0ás²{ | CORE R %@ M€P€÷' Å2 À* À* php /usr/bin/php /home/ZZZ/public_html/ZZZ/vbseo.php
    The ZZZ is censored.

Any ideas on what exactly is causing this? I'm running vBSEO 3.6.0 RC 2.

    Thanks

P.S. The problems are from way back... before the RC version.

    Hello,

RC versions aren't officially supported. Please try upgrading to Gold as a first troubleshooting step.

I updated to the new version. Suggestions?

I constantly get new "core" files. All I can make in that files is the text I posted on the first post.

I had this with non RC version and RC. Today I updated to 3.6 non-rc. No core file yet but I need some backup. Other suggestions, etc.

This has nothing to do with vBSEO. vBSEO has no function that creates these files

We just changed the host. Hopefully we will have no more problems. I'm not sure what creates this files and what exactly crashes... :(
