    SEO and changing provider

    Hi all,
i'm changing my provider, with a domain transferement.
    My question is:
vBseo can decrease theire performance with a server/space changement and db/ftp files importing on the new server withour a reinstallation of it??

The domain will be the same.

    Thanks

I don't know the exact logistics but downtime is something to be wary of. I was affected by theplanet.com's datacenter fiasco (and was offline for 2 days) and Google hasn't been back on my site since 31st May... my primary source of income is search results ending up and my site and then users leave via adsense: this has halved in just 10 days.

My advice is, nothing effect seo like downtime. So keep it to a minimum.

vbseo will have no bearing on moving files via ftp/ssh nor loading a database.

see: Is it possible to do a seamless move of servers?
for moving server suggestions to do it the most seemless way.

There is nothing to change or re-add. vbseo is server-independent. So long as youre default vB config file can connect to the database, there is nothing to change in vbseo.

One setting that MAY need to be changed is the custom doc root (see config_vbseo.php). This will vary by server, but most likely will not be required.
