| SEO Best Practice : Keywords in thread URLs
From an SEO perspective is it better to have thread URLs in this format: http://www.mysite.com/14313-keywords...ead-title.html or: http://www.mysite.com/keywords-from-thread-title-24223/ Which is how this forum is configured or: http://www.mysite.com/t24223/ or something else? or does it not make any difference whatsoever? |

I would expect option 1 to be the most beneficial. It configures the thread as a HTML page, instead of a virtual directory, and it contains keywords. These keywords are not only helpful for general SEO, but may also lead to higher clicks from the search engines when they are in the results, and more relevant ads.
