    scared to use vBseo

Reading all the success stories got me scared to use vBseo. (I'm stil buying it) Everytime i think about the increase in traffic gives me the chills only because i am on shared hosting :(

At first i don't have to worry because by what i read so far. I am expected to drop pages and then it will pickup after one month or two.

It probably is that i wouldn't know how to handle the increase traffic when it starts coming in.

    Julio,

I don't think the jump in traffic will be *that* sudden. What I would expect is for the SE bots to start crawling your site more frequently and on a recurring basis almost immediately after installing vBSEO and our sitemap.

Then you will start seeing your old content updated, the vBSEO pages getting into the index. This should occur from within the 1st day to the first week, and will progress over time.

By the time this occurs, you should notice your traffic start to increase, rankings improve, and new keywords start generating you traffic.

Typically when a significant jump occurs it would be a few months after installing, and I would expect that you will (as in most cases) see a rising traffic growth pattern, rather than an immediate jump. *** But there are big spikes that do occur for some customers. ***

It's not likely that you will wake up one day with 1,000,000 hits, after having 10 the previous day. Probably 500,000 is more realistic. Just kidding. Wouldn't that be the ultimate day!

So the keypoint is that in most cases your traffic growth will be manageable. By the time you see it growing, you'll be able to plan your transition to an upgraded server.

By the way, how is your site revenue now?

If you are producing some revenue now, when more traffic comes you will easily be able to offset the cost of an improved hosting account, virtual private server, or even a dedicated server. And someday even multiple servers if your site grows to that level!

Don't know yet. I added adsense yesterday on 3 pages on the website but not on vbulletin. I am waiting for 3.7 to come out before i put ads on the forum. Heard that in 3.7 they are making easier to add ads. I don't want to go through all the trouble to then have to take them off.
