same post 2 different links in google?

    Hello,

In google there's 2 different links that takes a person that searches for the same topic to the thread in my forum.

Here >> how to mute players in tf2 - Google Search

It shows the links /forum/showthread.php?p=112 and 112-post1.html is this correct? or do i have to change a setting so single post don't get index in google?

I recommend NOT re-writing showpost.php, and then adding showpost into the robots.txt file

showpost.php in the robots file won't do anything for you as it sits, because there are NO showpost urls any more. You've re-written them to 112-post1.html and so on.

you may need to change from using a preset url structure to clicking the plus sign on advanced options and making your own.

I turned this >> Add rel="nofollow" to the Showpost links? << to Yes!. But i don't know what to use for 'Showpost' URL Format

Since i turned on nofollow the urls that are already index will they disappear?

no... that just means the bot won't follow them from the main page, but it already knows about them, so they are indexed.

You can set "Replace post number link with Permalink " option in vbseocp to replace showpost links with showthread ones (as we do here on vbseo.com ).

That is defined in "Permalinks" option in "Linkbacks" section of vbseocp.
Google will reindex your showpost pages and remove them with time.

    I got it!

Thank YOU Both for your help.

I had changed this to YES! in Showpost URLs is this ok?

Add rel="nofollow" to the Showpost links?
Enable this option to prevent search engines from following links to single versions of posts (showpost.php). Individual post pages might be considered "duplicate content" by search engines.
