Replace post number link with Permalink Problem

In the VB SEO admin I have permalinks set to Replace post number link with Permalink. But the postbit number link still links to showpost.

Actually the only setting for Permalinks that seems to be working corectly is Display Permalink besides Showpost Link

Every single other setting for permalinks shows what is being displayed now.

please try the latest pre-release version of vBSEO (PM sent).

I upgraded but the problem still exists.

Make sure you have vBSEO set to rewrite your showpost URLs. Right now I see that your post number links point to showpost.php.

OK now it's fixed. I forgot I turned that off when trying to fix it the first time.

But question, why must that rewrite be on when that is not the URL being displayed? Also does the post link show up anywhere else in the software because I don't want the individual posts being indexed.

When rewrite is disabled, this URL is not affected by vBSEO.

That depends on your vBulletin style. Usually, this is the only showpost link.

What would you recommend I set the custom rewrite URL for the individual postws to so I can deny them via Robots.txt? In it's current form I don't think I can deny them all.

You can set them to:
showpost/[post_id].html
and add "showpost/" in robots.txt
