    Recent Blog Post With vBSEO?

Is it possible to have a Recent Blog post mod which reads the RSS Feed while using vBSEO?

If not after nearly 3 months of using vBSEO if I uninstall it now would it really hurt my rankings? What about pagerank or anything else for that matter? I am not a happy camper, vBSEO limits me in so many ways and it did not improve my rankings at all! I need the vBSEO team to get on this ASAP!

In what way does it limit you? Not sure I understand... If you would like display a recent Blog post, you can check on vBulletin.org. Someone may have released a hack to do that. That wouldn't be a feature of vBSEO though.

You have only been running vBSEO for about 2 months. That's really too short of a time to expect to see any major results. Make sure you're submitting your vBSEO Sitemaps and creating quality content, and let the search engines do their thing.

There are many hacks for doing this, but non are compatible with VBSEO! NONE! And they work great on a non VBSEO forum.

Why wont they work? When will they work, and how come VBSEO did not improve my rankings at all? Infarct I dropped from the second page of the term Webmaster Forum to like the 10th and now IM back on the 3rd after about 100 hours of SEO work on my part alone!

As you can tell I am not happy and want to know ASAP if I uninstall VBSEO will I drop even further in the ranks?

I just checked and it seems that you are not running vBSEO Sitemap. That is a very important part of the process, so get that set up and your sitemaps submitted as soon as possible.

What is an example of one of these hacks that will not work with vBSEO? What happens when you try to use it?

Also, are you using Google Analytics to track your traffic? That's the easiest way to see if your search engine referrals are increasing, which is a sign that your site is being well indexed.

I was using them but not any longer as I absolutely detest Google right now

As to the traffic, thats a inaccurate way to check if vBSEO helps at all as I do major adverts all the time, I have been on phpBB • Creating Communities Worldwide a few times and get tons of traffic, I always did I wanted to improve my ranks not increase traffic.

That is not vBSEO Sitemap, that's the vBulletin Archive. vBSEO Sitemap 2.0 generates an XML sitemap file each night that contains all the URLs on your site, and submits it to the major search engines. You should get that installed an running as soon as possible. You can get it here: vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap Generator v.2.0 - vBulletin.org Forum

Taking a look at the hacks now...

Ic, I was under the impression when i installed vBSEO it would put that plugin in automatically?

Either way, with or without it I would have increased in rank with or without it just with the base vBSEO would I?

    That did not happen.

Not sure what gave you that idea, but your traffic from search engines is THE way to track how well vBSEO is doing. You are trying to get people to find your content in the search engines, correct? The stats will show you that, and you should see an upward trend of traffic coming from them.

Well as I said that did not happen and I had the GA till like about 3 weeks ago, no increase to speak of.

But I did get lots of SE traffic before as I was on the second page for the term: Webmaster Forum

Have you any idea how many times that is searched per month? Over 3500 and I got atleast 500-1,000 visits from that term alone before. Now that I am on the 3rd page I am starting to get that # back up but that is besides the point.

What exactly is the problem when you try this mod, for example: Add Recent Blog/Site Feed under Postbit. Displays Recent Blog feeds or Site Feeds. - vBulletin.org Forum

Error messages? Any details you can provide? Do you have it installed somewhere were we can visit the page and see the problem?

That will help us figure out the issue.

No, no errors, the blog feeds just dont show up. I believe its unfixable after looking at it closer so I am just going to cut my losses and sell vBSEO to whoever wants it, I am tired of talking about stupid mistakes that should not be.

Where can I sell my liscense quickly, want it off my site

Well, it seems that you don't want to allow us to help you, and it also seems that you expected instant results from vBSEO, and nothing with SEO is ever instant.

But, you can sell it anywhere you like, other than here. We don't allow licenses to be listed for sale here, but there are many webmaster forums out there that would be a good choice. Sitepoint, Digital Point Forums, etc.

    Best of luck!
