    Questions about search engine indexing

Whats up guys.... I have a pretty new site (30 days old) and I installed VBSEO on it about 2 weeks back. Its a discussion forum based on local news/events for my home city. Being that its so new, obviously there are no links to the site and not much content other than what a friend of mine and myself have been adding daily. I noticed something thats odd but promising at the same time; now that I have VBSEO installed, everytime I go to the site and compose a new thread or upload new images, at least a dozen spiders end up on the site within like 30 seconds and crawl every new thread and image that i've started/uploaded. Now my question is what does it take for those threads to actually be indexed by, say, Google? I have done some tests and started some threads with words/news topics that are NOWHERE else on the web (fictitious) and waited a few days and attempted to search for the keywords in the title of the thread, but nothing is showing up on Google even though the spiders seemed to have been 'reading' the thread moments after it was posted.

How about some tips as to what else needs to be done to start having my content show up under Google? Do I need to concentrate on getting some linkbacks put up or is there something else I need to work on? Much thanks for a great product. I will be installing it on my other 4 forums as soon as I round up the cash.

Keep building your content and try to get linkbacks on any relevant sites where possible. Consider linking to related blogs within your posts, so that our automated LinkBack system can send out pingbacks (perhaps resulting in links).

Update services is likely causing the spiders to hit your site rapidly after a new post.

There will be some level of delay between the *crawling* and *indexing* process.

Crawling gets your content within the Google database. However, it may be sometime before it is ready to be published into their live searchable index. Time varies. Keep us posted when you start to see some of your test pages get picked up.
