    Problem since upgrading

I upgraded to 3.7 a while back and vbseo stopped working so i disabled it. I finally have time to start working on it.

If I enable the plugin within the admincp I cant browse my site. I am sure its a setting somewhere, but I cant remember where.

Without vbseo enabled a link to our main forum would be

All about Motocross - NorCalMotocross.com - Your Source for Motocross in Northern California

With vbseo on it wants to go to

    http://www.norcalmotocross.com/forum...out-motocross/

The problem is I am getting 404 errors
The requested URL /forum/all-about-motocross/ was not found on this server

I am sure its something simple, I am just drawing a blank. any help would be appreciated.

    I am using 3.7.1 and vbswo 3.1.0

I had one there. I just overwrote it with a fresh one just to make sure. No change. I tried with Rewrite base on and off. Does this look right?

    Code:

    # Comment the following line (add '#' at the beginning)
    # to disable mod_rewrite functions.
    # Please note: you still need to disable the hack in
    # the vBSEO control panel to stop url rewrites.
    RewriteEngine On
    # Some servers require the Rewritebase directive to be
    # enabled (remove '#' at the beginning to activate)
    # Please note: when enabled, you must include the path
    # to your root vB folder (i.e. RewriteBase /forums/)
    RewriteBase /forums/
    #RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.yourdomain\.com
    #RewriteRule (.*) http://www.yourdomain.com/forums/$1 [L,R=301]
    RewriteRule ^((urllist|sitemap_).*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)$ vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 [L]
    RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} !vbseourl=
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(admincp/|modcp/|chat|cron)
    RewriteRule ^(.*\.php(/.*)?)$ vbseo.php?vbseourl=$1 [L,QSA]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !\.(jpg|gif)$
    RewriteRule ^(archive/.*)$ vbseo.php?vbseourl=$1 [L,QSA]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !^(admincp|modcp|clientscript|cpstyles|images)/
    RewriteRule ^(.+)$ vbseo.php?vbseourl=$1 [L,QSA]

Your .htaccess looks ok. Does your server support mod_rewrite ?

    still no luck

After messing with this for nearly two weeks, I am no closet to figuring it out.

mod_rewrite is enabled and working. Tested it multiple times.

Is 3.1.0 compatible with vb 3.7.

Thats the only thing I can think of. I have tested multiple .htaccess files with zero luck,

    Any ideas?

I think you should upgrade Joey. vBSEO 3.2.0 GOLD is almost ready to release. We might as well get you upgraded to the latest version since you are having trouble installing. You will also be able to open a ticket:
