    Problem with Google

My pages indexed just got cut in half by google. What is causing this?

Also it has been over 3 weeks now since my purchase of vbseo and I only have 100 indexed pages. What is taking so long?

Probably not anything to worry about. It could be Google cycling results or it could be many other things.

3 weeks is not "taking soo long". Read thru some of the reviews of new sites & how long it took to get results. Took me 4.5 months of spending more $$ & applying my own SEO knowledge to start doing well in G. Since you said in that other thread you couldn't afford to do the things I suggested, you shouldn't expect quicker results that I got. If anything, you should expect much slower results.

Bottom line, keep working and just be a little more patient. Google just doesn't show love quickly to new sites.

    Good luck, Ross

And to add, stay consistent. Don't start making changes, it will only prolong the process.

Over the last year, Google has been a roller coaster, affecting all sites at some point or another.

Also, there is currently not accurate way to get an exact count of pages indexed in google anyway, since they have admitted that the site:[domain] searches are flawed.

Thank you Keith. I have one other question concerning something else. I would like to upgrade my vbseo to rc4. what do I need to do for this upgrade? Do I simply overwrite my old files? Thank you

Upgrade instructions are included in the readme in the download. It's a very easy process.

I have a big problem now :( I managed to upload the files and replace them. I imported the new product.

Now I can not access my website or admincp. I get a

Fatal error: Unable to read 140276 bytes in /home/sole/public_html/forums/includes/functions_vbseo.php on line 0

for my website and a white page for my admincp. How can I fix this?

You didn't upload the files in BINARY mode as indicated in the instructions. Make sure you force your FTP client to use BINARY instead of ASCII.
