Portal/Forum solution like vbseo.com

Hi guys,

with my new project i'd like to have a similar solution with portal/forum index like you have it on vbseo.com.

I installed vbadvanced cmps in the domain root along with vbulletin which is also in the domain root. I'd also like to have /forums for the forum index but /forum-1-name /forum-2-name for the single forums instead of /forums/forum-1-name which would be easy to realize with putting vb in /forums.

Can anyone give me a hint what to do? Do i have to rename the vbulletin index.php or can i work this out as a .htaccess solution only? i think renaming the file would lead to problems with several addons!?

ok i just tried entering a redirection rule 'index.php$' => 'forum/' which basically works but that makes every "form home" link a link to the portal.

Any better ideas?
