Pingbacks and trackbacks slowing things down?

Just wondered do you guys turn off in your vbseo.php outgoing and incoming trackbacks and pingbacks plus do you use the services

reason i ask is.. im thinking that every time a post or thread is made its going to ping this seems to slow down the posting of the thread or post, correct??

secondly.. wondering if pingomatic might ban me because all day long posts are occuring and that would mean they would be notified a heck of a lot all day long every day?

you can try to disable "Update services" option if you have slowdowns issue when creating new threads.
